How do I know which procedure is right for my face?
Botox: It is used for wrinkles, which are the fine lines between the facial muscles, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. It can be used in some areas to relax the muscles that create a feeling of tension. However, most of its use is in the forehead area and around the eyes.
Filler: It is used to fill voids and is sometimes used for contouring—meaning creating definition—at the cheeks, lips, chin, and temples. It is used in areas that have hollowness or need definition.
Surgical Procedures: These are something completely different. Surgical facelift procedures involve tightening sagging skin and rearranging and redistributing sagging fat. They can be accompanied by fat injections instead of fillers.
Botox and filler treatments last from 3 to 6 months. Facelift surgeries can last from 10 to 15 years.
